When kept well picked Climbing Butter Beans produce more beans per plant than dwarf varieties. Delicious slightly flat, light yellow butter beans.
- How To Sow: Choose a sheltered, well drained site in full sun. Sow directly in a warm, well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 15 cm apart, in rows 60 cm apart. Cover to a depth of 3 cm. Seedling Care: Keep seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period of 7-14 days. Apply vegetable fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Hints and Tips: Adequate trellis or fencing is required for this variety. Pick regularly when pods are young to obtain over 6 weeks of continual cropping.
